It has been an unfortunately long-lived trend to mock Trump by implying a homoerotic relationship with Putin, often suggesting Putin is his "daddy". The trend has attracted subluminaries such as Stephen Colbert.
But by any reasonable metric, Donald Trump is straight people's fault - he was overwhelmingly rejected by LGBT voters. To suggest that overt and violent homophobia among Republicans is due to them being closeted is blaming gay men for their own oppression.
More galling still, he is on camera bragging about sexually assaulting women. If neither that nor his overwhelming stupidity nor his David Duke endorsement is more insulting than "cock holster", it seems clear that your comedy is shite, not necessary provocation.
