Recently, a preprint by Hall et al. was published: a comparison of keto and plant-based diets. The gist of it is that a low-fat plant-based diet is more satiating than keto; those eating an unlimited plant-based diet will eat less than those eating an unlimited keto diet.
This was anticipated by Gianini, Walsh, Steinglass, and Mayer; anorexics and those who maintain long-term weight loss eat a low-fat diet. So, while the NIH research is rigorous and scientific, it is not terribly novel. Stick to getting weight loss advice from 14 year-olds on tumblr.
